2013 Emmy® Awards Gala Information

The Lower Great Lakes Chapter's Emmy® Awards Show is presented in the summer of each year. Locations for the show have varied over the years, but historically the Show has been held in Cleveland. The 44th Annual Emmy® Awards Gala will be held June 1, 2013 at Windows on the River in downtown Cleveland, Ohio.


Gala Entertainment by Matt Dudack Steelpans

University of Akron Steel Drum BandMatt Dudack is the artistic director of the Grammy and Emmy nominated University of Akron Steel Drum Band. He has performed with Boogsie Sharpe, David Rudder, Andy Narell, Relator, Cliff Alexis, Ray Holman, Robert Greenidge, Liam Teague, and Michael Spiro. He has travelled to Trinidad and Tobago, the birthplace of the steelpan, and performed with the Invaders steelband during Panorama. Dudack was nominated as an executive producer and composer/arranger for a "Hammer on Steel," a PBS broadcast and DVD which included concert footage and documentary.

Mike Polk to Host 44th Annual Emmy® Awards Gala

Mike PolkMike Polk is a Cleveland-based writer and comedian whose internet videos have garnered more that 60 million views on YouTube alone. Mike recently authored the book "Damn Right I'm From Cleveland" and currently works at Fox 8 where he is featured on The Rizzo Show, New Day Cleveland, and his own The Mike Polk Jr. Show.
